Where is Araquari?
Araquari is a municipality in northern Santa Catarina, part of the Joinville metropolitan region in southern Brazil.
The municipality sits inland from Babitonga Bay, roughly 24 kilometers from Joinville Arena by the measure one travel listing used. Joinville, the state's largest city, supplies the region's big-city services and connections.
The landscape is Atlantic Forest — Mata Atlântica — the green, hilly biome that lines Brazil's southeastern coast. Rural addresses often sit on an estrada geral, a general public road serving scattered properties; a social profile placed the property on Estrada Geral Porto Grande.
Araquari should not be confused with Araguari, a city in Minas Gerais spelled with a 'g'. The Santa Catarina municipality has also drawn large industrial plants in recent years, so lodging demand mixes leisure travelers with business visitors.
